Gold Smelting
We specialize in smelting gold through Electric Induction Furnace. This environmentally friendly technique enables us to convert large lots of gold into grain, or smaller category bars of various sizes and purity levels. Our expertise allows us to convert gold according to the client’s request, while assuring the highest degree of quality and accuracy.
Our state of the art facilities coupled with our expertise enable us to simultaneously process huge lots of gold while ensuring the highest quality standards and the shortest turnaround times at a very competitive premium.
Gold Assaying
The responsibilities of our Government laboratory are gold assaying, metal analysis, and research and development (R&D).
Government Assaying monitors the quality of the metal throughout the refining process, determining the fineness of gold. The assaying technology includes traditional fire assay as well as spectrometry. All material arriving at the refinery, whether bar or nugget is smelted, assayed and Assay Report issued as a general rule to facilitate exporting.
Cast to your specification
Large lots go into the induction furnace and come out as grain, or as bars in the size and purity you nominate, up to AU 999.9%. Nuggets and alluvial gold dust are smelted the same way, so a consignment gathered from several sites leaves as one uniform lot.

Fineness is established at origin by fire assay and spectrometry at the Government laboratory, and every bar or nugget arriving at the refinery is smelted, assayed and issued an Assay Report. The final assay is then made again at your own designated refinery, and payment follows that second report.
Buying procedureRefined, then exported
The Assay Report is what opens the export file. From there a government licensed exporting company settles the royalties and the lot ships from Freetown, Conakry or Monrovia in sealed metal boxes built for air freight.
