How to buy gold and rough diamond from us.

Read the terms and the eight steps below before you contact us. They set out what Sky Minerals Limited sells, how the price is fixed, who handles the export, how quickly the lot moves and when payment falls due. Every transaction we do follows this order.

Terms of sale

These are the standing terms every offer is written against. Quantity and price are the two we settle with you; the rest hold for gold and for rough diamond alike.

1. Product: Au Gold Bars / Rough Diamond
2. Purity: 96% + / Clarity: FL –VS1/2, Colors: D - G
3. Assay: Final Assay to be made at the Buyer’s Designated Refinery / Analysis Destination.
4. Quantity: Agreed with the buyer, small or large lots
5. Price: Per Kilogram, FOB / CIF [Buyer’s Destination]
6. Locations: Freetown, Sierra Leone / Conakry, Guinea / Monrovia, Liberia.
7. Port of Export: Freetown / Conakry / Monrovia
8. Mode of Payment: Wire Transfer
9. Packaging: Safe Metal Export Boxes Suitable for Air Freight

The procedure, step by step

Eight steps from your first enquiry to final payment. Nothing leaves the ground before the contract is signed, and nothing is paid in full before your own refinery has reported on the metal.

  1. A) FCO issued

    Seller issues FCO, the Buyer signs and return back to the seller.

  2. B) Sales & Purchase Agreement

    Seller issues Sales & Purchase Agreement (SPA), both Buyer and seller signs. Seller legalize the SPA.

  3. C) Table meeting and inspection

    Buyer or his representative will travel to Freetown, Sierra Leone for table meetings and inspection of gold, while in Freetown Buyer shall witness all processes involved for the smooth transaction of the goods.

  4. D) Exporter and shipper nominated

    Seller nominates a Government Licensed Exporting Company to handle the Government royalties, and Shipper to handle Insurance, Freight and Delivery.

  5. E) Freight and delivery

    Once the Government Licensed Exporting Company invoice has been confirmed paid, the Shipper commences with the logistics for the freight of the gold / diamond and in maximum of 4 days; the Seller / Shipper shall have delivered the gold to buyer’s agreed destination.

  6. F) Purity confirmed at destination

    Buyer and Seller travel to the destination to test and confirm the purity of the gold / diamond, Buyer pays the gold assay costs at the agreed refinery / diamond analysis cost at analysis destination.

  7. G) Documents released

    The Seller shall send all the associated documents to the buyer 72 hours before the goods reaches the final destination including Commercial Invoice, Insurance, and Certificate of Origin, Export Permit, Ownership Certificate, Customs Clearance, Airway Bill, Including KPC for Diamond, etc.

  8. H) Final Payment

    Final Payment, which will be based on 99.995%, and less the local costs incurred at Origin. Full payment of our gold or diamond shall be within 5-days from the date of final assay report from buyer’s refinery / analysis destination in case of diamond.

What we can offer

Pure gold bars at AU 999.9%, semi-refined nuggets, alluvial gold dust, and rough diamond at FL to VS1/2 clarity in the D to G colour range. Lots are quoted per kilogram, small or large, FOB at the port of origin or CIF to your destination.

What sets the price

Your own refinery does the final assay, and the closing payment is calculated on that report at 99.995%, less the local costs incurred at origin. You are never asked to pay in full against a figure we quoted ourselves.

Refining and assaying

What arrives with the goods

Commercial Invoice, Insurance, Certificate of Origin, Export Permit, Ownership Certificate, Customs Clearance and Airway Bill, plus the KPC on rough diamond. They are sent 72 hours before the consignment lands.

How we export

Read them through, then tell us the product, the quantity and the destination.
